Patek Philippe Seal

A world in which the exceptional becomes the rule

Patek Philippe stands for the high quality and dependability of its timepieces. In emphasizing its independence, the family-owned manufacture has always defined its own quality criteria, recognized by the entire watchmaking community as the strictest ever compiled. They define extremely rigorous standards with stringent inspection procedures that leave no room for compromise.

To enforce and sustainably safeguard compliance with the rules at every level, Patek Philippe created its own quality seal that applies to all of its mechanical timepieces regardless of their complexity. For the purpose of assuring the necessary degree of transparency, the Patek Philippe Seal relies on a number of carefully defined criteria that are committed in writing in detailed directives and supervised by an independent monitoring entity.

As the watch industry’s strictest set of directives, the Patek Philippe Seal applies to the finished watch in its totality – the movement, the case, and other exterior components (dials, hands, pushers, bracelets, clasps, etc.). It embraces the entire know-how and all other assets required to design, manufacture, and service exceptional timepieces. The directives also relate to the technology and aesthetics of the timepieces and the flawless integrity of all functions.

For movements, the Patek Philippe Seal specifies an extreme rate accuracy with a tolerance of no more than -3/+2 seconds per day. It imposes very strict requirements on the manual finissage of movement parts in keeping with the grand Genevan traditions. And it affirms the quality of the materials used, the perfection of the precious stones as well as the work of the gemsetters.

Moreover, it is the only quality seal for watches that also covers service for the entire lifetime of the watch and guarantees maintenance, repairs, and restoration of all watches crafted by the manufacture since 1839.

As a dynamic quality hallmark, the Patek Philippe Seal is open for future developments and technical progress with the potential of improving the functional integrity, rate accuracy, and reliability of timepieces. Therefore, it seamlessly complements the tradition of innovation DNA that has always been at the focus of the manufacture’s corporate philosophy.

He appears here surrounded by his traditional symbols, perched on a heart-shaped rubellite of a pinkish purple hue. Intended to plant the seeds of love in the hearts of men and women, the bow – crafted from a twisted thread of gold – supports an opulent garland of pink and mauve sapphires, while the arrows are punctuated by pear-shaped and baguette-cut diamonds.

History

The history of Armi Perazzi is the history of Daniele Perazzi, a poor but doggedly determined young man who chased the myth of a perfect gun and dreamt about becoming a gunsmith. At 16 he fi nally got a job in a large company proving his natural born talent and patenting one of his models. It is the fi rst of a long series of guns, produced since the 1950’s , that bears his name. In 1957 at the age of 25, Daniele Perazzi founded Armi Perazzi and established his own factory where he has worked every day, together with his son Mauro and his daugther Roberta, until his death.

From the beginning Perazzi shooters achieved considerable success and the name and reputation of Perazzi became established and widely known. For 50 years Perazzi have built prestigious game and competition guns that are a fusion between traditional gunsmithing, high technology and the selection of excellent raw materials. The perfect balance and handling and the innovations that have been made during this time have resulted in a gun suitable for every discipline and made the company a world leader in clay shooting.

From the standard models to the deluxe versions, each engraving—from the simplest to the most sophisticated—is undertaken by internationally renowned, master engravers, to satisfy the individual tastes and style preferences of each of our clients. All engraving is done by hand, not by machine or laser.

Barrel

The work in the barrel department must ensure perfection of this most important part of the gun, to guarantee the highest possible level of performance by the finished gun. For this reason, the utmost care is taken in every single phase of construction and assembly, from the initial rough boring of the tubes, to soldering the ribs, to the absolutely critical final stage of straightening the barrel tubes, which is still carried out by the human eye, as no machine has yet proved better.

Every single component part of the guns is produced in our factory and must adhere to the most rigorous and precise technical specifications. The production of all these parts is carried out by the most modern and sophisticated CNC machines, with numerical control panels set to ensure the micrometric dimensions we require.
